A Short Story About Giulia

I have always loved books, in some moments I have enjoyed them more than others but ultimately I am a bookworm. This year I went on my year abroad to Seville, Spain and rediscovered my passion for reading and began to avidly read one book after another. This year off from university truly allowed me to finally enjoy reading again - funnily enough politics articles about Thomas Hobbes are pretty demoralising (I study Politics at university).

I read all sorts of books and kept getting more and more inspired the more I read, which leads me to where I am today. Sharing my passions with my friends and family is part of the reason my I started this blog. The other reason is because I want to inspire people to read more. In an age of scrolling through facebook, instagram, twitter, etc. I believe we tend to lose sight of what is truly important and for me that is learning. We are constantly absorbing knowledge everywhere we go, but by reading we gain the autonomy of choosing what we want to learn.

I hope that my blog can inspire everyone to pick up a book, literally anything, and read and read and read. Anywhere and everywhere you go read! I would also like to take this opportunity to welcome you to my blog and to thank those of you that are supporting me through this new adventure of mine.
