If you have been following me and my book-reading journey for a while you will have realised that I think that Sophie Kinsella is the absolute OG of chick-flicks. No one does them better than her, and definitely not as consistently. Kinsella knows exactly how to make you NEED to finish the book in under 24 hours. All other life obligations become less pressing, such as socialising, eating, moving, etc. It is needless to say that I was totally hooked and I loved it from start to finish.

I Owe You One is about Fixie, a woman who helps her mum run their family shop that was created by her dad. Her nickname ‘Fixie’ came about due to her compulsion to always fix everything, which eventually leads her to meeting Seb in a coffee shop accident and the rest of the story spirals off from here. What is so gripping about this story is that it isn’t only about romance, but also about familial relationships, pride and grief.

Overall, it was a really great read and I would highly recommend it! If you are a fan of Kinsella this book is definitely not one to miss and if you have never read any of her books…what have you been doing all this time? Read one of her books!
