I really enjoyed reading this book. I first heard about this book once I started seeing the trailers to the movie. I am someone who strongly believes that you should always read the book, before watching the movie. Otherwise, how else can you critique it and talk about all the important bits they missed out?! Anyway, the story was amazing! I loved how it conveyed the storyline, the characters and the sisterly love. The story is about a 16-year-old girl, Lara Jean, attending her penultimate year in high school. She goes through all the typical struggles of an adolescent, from love to family, she has been through it all. Lara Jean is a loveable character because she is so funny, dramatic and unique; I feel like any girl can relate to her! She has two sisters, one older and one much younger, and their bond is so beautiful. It reminds me of me and my siblings, especially my younger sister because she is so much younger than me and the relationship between us is very similar to that of Lara Jean and Kitty.

Once the eldest of the trio goes all the way to St Andrews, Scotland for university, Lara Jean is left with the responsibility of being in charge of the house and being a good big sister. Margot, the eldest, has sent quite the standard in the house, once their mother died six years before. Don’t worry, this is not a major spoiler I promise!

To avoid saying anything else about the book and giving away any vital information I will stop my review here. I loved this book and I would definitely recommend this book to anyone! However, I would especially recommend it to any girl who has a sister, teenagers and anyone who loves a good romance like me.
