We Were On a Break by Lindsey Kelk

This summer for me has been all about chick-flicks, easy reads and a little bit of romance and this book was absolutely perfect for that. I really enjoyed this chick-flick by Lindsey Kelk. As the title says, it is about a couple that decide to go on a break after a failed proposal. During the break so many different events, equally as tragic as they are hilarious, happen and it was truly a joy to read. There were many moments in which I found myself laughing out loud! What I really enjoyed about this book was that the story was told by both perspectives (Liv and Adam) because it is really rare in chick-flicks to get to hear the male’s perspective. This aspect made the book even funnier and cleverer than most other basic chick-flicks.

I would definitely recommend this book to all chick-flick lovers, all romantics and basically anyone that wants a good and easy read! This is the first Kelk book I read so I look forward to reading more from her.
